Why SwiftCool?

Most of our customers choose this contact adhesive when they want absolute certainty and reliability. SwiftCool is one of the strongest adhesives of its kind – it offers extremely high temperature resistance and very strong adhesion, making it ideal for the most demanding applications.

Spray parameters: It is recommended to use a gun with a slightly larger nozzle than standard – approximately 2.0–2.2 mm. The product should be treated in the same way as any other contact adhesive – no special curing cycles are required.

Key principles for the use of high-temperature contact adhesives

• Storage and preparation: Store the drum tightly closed at 15–25 °C. Shake or stir thoroughly before use.

• Surface preparation: Remove any foam residue and dust. The substrate must be dry, clean and stable.

• Double-sided application: Contact adhesive must be applied evenly to both surfaces – both the headliner shell and the fabric.

• Consumption: Approximate consumption is 0.5–1 litre per running metre of roof. Spray from a distance of 40–50 cm, moving the spray gun in even, overlapping strips.

• Opening hours: Wait until the glue becomes tacky but does not form threads when touched with a finger.

• Joining and pressing: Join the elements only once. Press or roll lightly – it will not be possible to reposition them afterwards.

• Curing time: The finished panel should be left flat (adhesive side up) for at least 12 hours in a cool place before being fitted inside the vehicle.

• Safety: Ensure there is good ventilation and use standard personal protective equipment when spraying.
