Privacy policy
1. This Privacy Policy sets out the rules governing the collection, processing and use of personal data obtained by the online shop www.modeco-sklep.pl (hereinafter referred to as the „Shop”).

3. MODECO takes particular care to respect the privacy of customers visiting the Online Store.
4. All definitions contained in this Privacy Policy refer to the Terms and Conditions of the online shop available at modeco-sklep.pl
§ 1 How do we collect data?
1 MODECO collects information on natural persons carrying out a business or professional activity on their own behalf (hereinafter referred to as ‘Entrepreneurs’), as well as data on natural persons performing a legal act not directly related to their activity, hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘Customers’.
2. Customers' personal data are collected when a Customer registers with the Shop by creating a Customer Account.
3. When registering for an account in the shop, the Customer provides only their email address, first name and surname, and sets their own password for accessing the account in the shop.
If a Customer with an Account in the Shop wishes to make a purchase, they are asked to provide the following details:
(a) first name and surname
(b) email address
(c) the delivery address (street, house/flat number, postcode and town);
(d) the payer’s details (street, house/flat number, postcode and town);
(e) telephone number
(f) in the case of entrepreneurs, the above data shall be supplemented by the entrepreneur’s company name and his or her VAT registration number.
4. The Customer may amend the above details themselves after logging into their Customer Account.
5. In the event of direct contact between the Customer and the shop (by email, telephone, etc.), the following information is provided:
(a) email address;
(b) name;
(c) the delivery address (street, house/flat number, postcode and town);
(d) the payer’s details (street, house/flat number, postcode and town);
(e) telephone number
(f) in the case of entrepreneurs, the above data shall be supplemented by the entrepreneur’s company name and his or her VAT registration number.
6. When using the Shop’s websites, additional information is automatically collected (the IP address assigned to your computer or your internet service provider’s external IP address, domain name, browser type, time of access, and operating system type).
7. We may also collect navigational data from Customers, including information about the links and references they choose to click on or other actions they take in our Online Shop.
§ 2 How do we use the data we collect?
1. If a Customer Account is registered with the Store, Customer data is used for the following purposes: to create and manage an individual Customer Account and to ensure that purchases can be made in the Store, including the processing of orders placed and their delivery.
If you make a purchase from the Shop, your personal data may be passed on to the Supplier, i.e. the courier company.
2. Navigation data may be used to provide customers with a better service, to analyse statistical data and to tailor the Online Shop to customers' preferences, as well as to manage the Online Shop.
§ 3 Cookie mechanism, IP address
1 The Online Shop uses small files known as cookies. These are stored by MODECO on a visitor’s computer when they visit the Online Shop, provided that their web browser permits this. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which it originates, its "expiry time" and a unique random number identifying the cookie. The information collected via cookies of this type helps to tailor the products offered by MODECO to the individual preferences and actual needs of visitors to the Online Shop. It also enables the compilation of general statistics on visits to the products featured in the Online Shop.
2 MODECO uses two types of cookies:
a) Session cookies – when a particular browser’s session ends or the computer is switched off, the stored information is deleted from the device’s memory. The way session cookies work does not allow any personal data or confidential information to be collected from the client’s computer.
b) Persistent cookies – are stored in the memory of the Customer’s terminal equipment and remain there until they are deleted. The mechanism of persistent cookies, sent by the Shop, enables the storage of data necessary for the proper functioning of the Shop and its features.
3. MODECO uses its own cookies for:
(a) to authenticate the Customer in the Online Shop and maintain a Customer session in the Online Shop (after logging in), so that the Customer does not have to re-enter their username and password on every sub-page of the Online Shop;
(b) analysis and research, as well as audience analysis, and in particular to compile anonymous statistics which help to understand how Customers use the Store’s Website, with a view to improving its structure and content.
(4) The use of cookies is safe for the computers of the Online Shop’s customers. In particular, it is not possible for viruses, other unwanted software or malware to enter customers' computers via this route. Nevertheless, customers have the option in their browsers to restrict or disable the use of cookies on their computers. If this option is selected, the Online Shop can still be used, except for functions which, by their very nature, require cookies.
6 The following explains how you can change the settings in popular web browsers regarding the use of cookies:
(a) the browser Internet Explorer;
(b) the browser Mozilla Firefox;
(c) the browser Chrome;
(d) the browser Safari;
(e) the browser Opera.
7 MODECO may collect your IP address. An IP address is a number assigned to the computer of a person visiting the Store by an Internet service provider. The IP number enables access to the Internet. In most cases, it is assigned to your computer dynamically, i.e. it changes each time you connect to the Internet, and for this reason it is generally regarded as non-personal identification information. MODECO uses IP addresses to diagnose technical problems with the server, to carry out statistical analysis (e.g. to determine from which regions we receive the most visits), as information useful for the administration and improvement of the Store, as well as for security purposes and to identify instances of server overload or unauthorised automated programmes accessing the Store’s content.
8. The shop contains links and references to other websites. MODECO is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. For this reason, we encourage you to consult the privacy policy in force on those sites when you access a site operated by another administrator via the Shop.
§ 4 Access to data
1 Only authorised MODECO employees have direct access to the personal data collected by the Shop.
(2) Your data may also be made available to entities entitled to receive it under applicable law, in particular the competent judicial authorities and the entities listed under: "How do we use the data collected?"
(3) MODECO provides customers who have a Customer Account with uninterrupted access to their data and the option to amend it at any time. To make changes, the Customer must log in to their Customer Account on the Shop. The Customer may delete their personal data from the database upon termination of the contract for the provision of electronic services. MODECO may refuse to delete the Customer’s data if the Customer has breached the applicable Shop Regulations and the retention of the data is necessary to clarify the circumstances and establish liability and, in particular, to assert claims by MODECO against the Customer concerned.
4. If you subscribe to the newsletter, you can remove your email address from the mailing list by selecting the relevant option after logging in to your customer account in the shop.
§ 5 Safeguards
1 MODECO employs safeguards to protect your data from loss, misuse and alteration. MODECO undertakes to protect all your data in accordance with standards of security and confidentiality.
2. MODECO uses SSL security certificates to protect personal data.
3 Personal data held by MODECO shall be protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws 2015.2135, as amended) in such a way that third parties cannot access it.
(4) In the event that a Customer who holds a Customer Account with the Shop has lost their password in any way, the Shop enables the Customer to generate a new password for their Customer Account. However, the Shop does not send a password reminder. The Customer’s password is stored in the database in an encrypted form in such a way that it cannot be read. To generate a new password, the Customer must provide an email address using the form available via the "I cannot remember my login or password" link, which appears when logging into the Customer’s Account on the Shop’s website. A new password will be sent automatically only to the email address provided during registration or saved during the last profile update.
(5) MODECO shall never send any correspondence, including electronic correspondence, requesting login details, in particular the access password for the Customer Account. Such information is also not provided via traditional correspondence, email or telephone.
§ 6 Changes to the Privacy Policy
1 MODECO reserves the right to amend the Privacy Policy. On the date of any such amendments, we will update the date of the last amendment shown below.
