Privacy policy

1.This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for the collection, processing and use of personal data obtained by the modeco-design.co.uk online shop (hereinafter: the "Shop").

3. MODECO is particularly careful to respect the privacy of customers visiting the Online Store.
4.All definitions contained in this Privacy Policy refer to the Terms and Conditions of the online shop available at modeco-sklep.pl


§ 1 How do we collect data?

1 MODECO collects information on natural persons conducting a business or professional activity on their own behalf (hereinafter referred to as Entrepreneurs), as well as data of natural persons performing a legal act not directly related to their activity, hereinafter collectively referred to as Customers.
2.Customers' personal data are collected when a Customer registers with the Shop by creating a Customer Account.
3.When registering for an Account in the shop, the Customer only provides his/her e-mail address, name and surname and sets the password for accessing the Account in the shop himself/herself.
If a Customer with an Account in the Shop wishes to make a purchase, they are asked to provide the following details:
(a) name and surname
(b) e-mail address
(c) the delivery address (street, house/flat number, postal code and town);
(d) details of the payer (street, house/flat number, postal code and town);
(e) telephone number
(f) in the case of Entrepreneurs, the above data shall be further extended by the Entrepreneur's company name and his/her VAT ID number.

4.The above data can be changed by the Customer himself after logging into the Customer Account.
5.In the event of personal contact between the Customer and the shop (e-mail, telephone, etc.), the following information is provided:
(a) e-mail address;
(b) name;
(c) the delivery address (street, house/flat number, postal code and town);
(d) details of the payer (street, house/flat number, postal code and town);
(e) telephone number
(f) in the case of Entrepreneurs, the above data shall be further extended by the Entrepreneur's company name and his/her VAT ID number.

6.When using the Shop's websites, additional information is automatically collected (IP address assigned to your computer or the external IP address of your Internet provider, domain name, browser type, access time, operating system type).
7.We may also collect navigational data from Customers, including information about links and references they choose to click on or other actions they take in our Online Shop.


§ 2 How do we use the data collected?

1.If a Customer Account is registered with the Store, Customer data is used for: to create and manage an individual Customer Account and to ensure that purchases can be made in the Store, including the processing of placed orders and their delivery.
If you make a purchase from the Shop, your personal data may be transferred to the Supplier, i.e. the courier company.
2.Navigation data may be used in order to provide customers with a better service, to analyse statistical data and to adapt the Online Shop to customers' preferences, as well as to administer the Online Shop.


§ 3 Cookie mechanism, IP address

1 The Online Shop uses small files, called cookies. These are stored by MODECO on the computer of a visitor to the Online Shop if the Internet browser allows it. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which it originates, its "expiry time" and an individual random number identifying the cookie. The information collected through cookies of this type helps to customize the products offered by MODECO to the individual preferences and actual needs of visitors to the Online Store. It also provides the possibility of developing general statistics on visits to the presented products in the Online Store.

2 MODECO uses two types of cookies:
a) Session cookies - when the session of a particular browser ends or the computer is switched off, the stored information is deleted from the memory of the device. The mechanism of session cookies does not allow any personal data or any confidential information to be collected from the Clients' computer.
b) Permanent cookies - are stored in the memory of the Customer's terminal equipment and remain there until deleted. The mechanism of permanent cookies, sent by the Shop, allows storing data enabling proper functioning of the Shop and its functions.

3. MODECO uses its own cookies for:
a)to authenticate the Customer in the Internet Shop and ensure a Customer session in the Internet Shop (after logging in), thanks to which the Customer does not have to re-enter his/her login and password on each sub-page of the Internet Shop;
b)analysis and research, as well as audience auditing, and in particular to create anonymous statistics which help to understand how Customers use the Store's Website, so as to improve its structure and content.

(4) The cookie mechanism is safe for the computers of the Customers of the Internet Shop. In particular, it is not possible for viruses or other unwanted software or malware to enter Customers' computers via this route. Nevertheless, Customers have the option in their browsers to limit or disable access of cookies to their computers. If this option is used, the use of the Online Shop will be possible, except for functions that by their nature require cookies.

6 The following shows how you can change the settings of popular web browsers regarding the use of cookies:
(a) the browser Internet Explorer;
(b) the browser Mozilla Firefox;
(c) the browser Chrome;
(d) the browser Safari;
(e) the browser Opera.

7 MODECO may collect your IP address. An IP address is a number assigned to the computer of a person visiting the Store by an Internet service provider. The IP number enables access to the Internet. In most cases, it is assigned to your computer dynamically, i.e. it changes each time you connect to the Internet, and for this reason it is generally regarded as non-personal identification information. IP address is used by MODECO to diagnose technical problems with the server, to create statistical analysis (e.g. to determine from which regions we record the most visits), as information useful for administration and improvement of the Store, as well as for security purposes and possible identification of server-overloading, unwanted automatic programs for browsing the contents of the Store.

8.The shop contains links and references to other websites. MODECO is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. For this reason, we encourage you to refer to the privacy policy adopted there when you go via the Store to a site operated by another administrator.


§ 4 Access to data

1 Only authorised MODECO employees have direct access to the personal data collected by the Shop.

(2) Your data may also be made available to entities entitled to receive them under applicable law, in particular the competent judicial authorities and the entities indicated under: "How do we use the data collected?"

(3) MODECO provides customers who have a Customer Account with uninterrupted access to their data and the possibility to modify them at any time. In order to make modifications, it is necessary to log into the Customer Account in the Store. The Customer has the option of deleting his/her personal data from the dataset in the event of termination of the contract for the provision of electronic services. MODECO may refuse to delete the Customer's data if the Customer has violated the applicable Shop Regulations and the retention of the data is necessary to clarify the circumstances and to establish responsibility and, in particular, to assert claims by MODECO against the Customer concerned.

4.If you subscribe to the Newsletter, you have the option to remove your email address from the mailing list by selecting the appropriate function after logging in to your Customer Account in the Store.


§ 5 Safeguards

1 MODECO employs safeguards to protect your data from loss, misuse and alteration. MODECO undertakes to protect all your data in accordance with standards of security protection and confidentiality.

2. MODECO uses SSL security certificate security for personal data.

3 Personal data at MODECO shall be protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws 2015.2135 as amended) in such a way that third parties cannot access them.

(4) In the event that a Customer who has a Customer Account with the Store has lost his or her password in any way, the Store makes it possible to generate a new password for the Customer Account with the Store. However, the Shop does not send a password reminder. The Customer's password is stored in the database in an encrypted form in such a way that it cannot be read. In order to generate a new password, it is necessary to provide an e-mail address in the form available under the link "I do not remember my login or password", provided when logging in to the Customer's Account in the Shop. A new password will be automatically sent only to the e-mail address provided during registration or saved in the last profile change.

(5) MODECO shall never send any correspondence, including electronic correspondence, requesting login information, in particular the access password for the Customer Account. Such information is also not made available through traditional correspondence, e-mail and telephone.


§ 6 Changes to the Privacy Policy

1 MODECO reserves the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy. On the date of changes, we will update the date of the last amendment below.
